Exhale! Exhale gives that feeling of letting go in the moment, just think every day waking up with the same feeling of letting go, of life's worries and the constant traffic in your head, thinking you're alone dealing with it all. I've always had way too much traffic in my head, and it wasn't at a certain time of the day. It was 24 hours, constantly, it seemed like my exhalation never came. Until that one day, there was a man with white gloves and a whistle directing traffic. Suddenly, he put his hand up and blew his whistle, stopping all traffic, for a moment I tried to gather my thoughts but for the first time as I was looking at the man directing traffic, I thought of nothing. It became so clear to me, this man was Jesus and finally! I exhaled with everything in me because in that moment he suddenly stopped all traffic for me, showing me, with him, everyday life is directed and handled, because he's in control. Now with both of my hands up, I've surrendered it all to Jesus. I'm not saying everyday, life will be like a box of chocolate, but with him, you'll always have a treat knowing he's in control and his presence is with you, knowing you're not alone. Glory to God! You don't have to be perfect or have your life together to surrender. Come to Jesus as you are, Jesus meets us where we are, with your doubts, fears, worries and struggles. Authenticity is the starting point of surrender. True surrender involves giving up this illusion that you are in complete control, acknowledging God's authority. By placing your trust in God's sovereignty, by shifting your focus on his wisdom and guidance, it's a daily choice and prayer daily, you consciously choose to offer your day, worries and your decisions to him, making it a daily practice.
